History

Sofia Security Forum was established on September 02, 2012 as a platform for debating issues, related to national and international security. Since that time many events were organized by Sofia Security Forum.

On May 17 2012 – Conference on the crisis  management with guests speakers – the  European Commissioner for International Cooperation, Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Response, Mrs Kristalina Georgieva and the Vice Prime-Minister and Minister of Interior, Mr Tzvetan Tzvetanov, Mr. Anu Anguelov, Minister of Defence; Mr. Ivailo Moskovski, Minister of Transport, Information Technologies and Communicatins

National Security Review Conference in 2013 discussed the main risks and challenges to the Bulgarian National Security. In 2014 Sofia Security Forum is registered as a Non-Governmental Organization in Public Interest. Since then the SSF organized a big number of conference, round-table discussions, training, educations, published analytical materials and books, implemented a number of European projects.We have also launched numerous initiatives in close cooperation with representatives from the student’s organizations of different universities, business organizations, NGOs and academia.
